The next generation batteries will need to be lighter, cheaper and more efficient, which in turn requires new technical solutions based on new materials. By changing the charge carrier of the anode, to a new mix of materials where graphene is playing a key part, the storage capacity increases dramatically. 2D fab is developing a new anode formulation based on forefront science research.

CASE DESCRIPTION BATTERIES
2D fab has, in cooperation with Mid Sweden University, developed a concept for anodes in lithium-ion batteries. It will create lighter and less voluminous batteries with good cyclability and a tripled storage capacity.
We are currently working together with a listed company to commercialize our anode material.
PRODUCTS
Our graphene-based anode material is forefront nano materials technology. By changing the charge carrier from graphite to a mix of silicon and graphene, we get a dramatic increase of the storage capacity, while we at the same time are improving the heat dissipation as well as making the batteries lighter. We are currently working to commercialize this product.
