What makes nano-materials so interesting?
– There was great research interest in nano-materials amongst the students and teachers at the department. Many of us – me included – believe that nano-materials will play a key part in future materials. It is fascinating that the addition of a very small amount of a very small material can make such a large difference to numerous material properties. Take graphene for example, it is unbelievably small, and it has extraordinary properties that could alter and improve other materials. I really believe that graphene will help creating smarter materials with multiple functionalities.
Last but not least, what will you be responsible for at 2D fab?
– I will primarily be working with product development, both internally and together with our customers. This means that I will mainly perform tests and experiments on potential products, analysis and characterization, so that we as a company can ensure that we get the results we want and need for our products.
